“The Christian funeral is a liturgical celebration of the Church. The ministry of the Church in this instance aims at expressing efficacious communion with the deceased, at the participation in that communion of the community gathered for the funeral, and at the proclamation of the eternal life to the community.”

Arrangements should be made firstly with the Parish Office, and then with the Funeral Director to ensure proper Christian burial. Some things to remember:
1. Funerals are not celebrated on Sundays in the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall.
2. Weekday funerals can be scheduled to start no earlier than 9:30 AM and no later than 10:30 AM. In the afternoon, funerals can be scheduled to start no earlier than 1:30 PM and no later than 2:30 PM.
3. On Saturdays, funerals can be scheduled only in the morning except when there are baptisms or marriage ceremonies scheduled.
4. The church basement hall (Immaculata Hall) is available for receptions, subject to availability.
